On February 23rd, at the Digital Signage Expo Apex Award Show in Las Vegas, the interactive media kiosks that Fireworks Marketing Group and Jigsaw Interaction created for the Bell Ice Cube were awarded Gold in the Public Space category. These kiosks, which we called the Smart Cubes, allowed pavilion visitors to view sports-related video footage on demand, triggered by proximity and a simple hand wave.

Judging is based on the creative or technological solution to a digital signage installation challenge and the accompanying result.
