BCTEL 14¢ AFFINITY PROGRAM
When BC Tel rolled-out a flat rate fee program across British Columbia, a
novel way of delivering the message was decided upon. "Spot the 14" was the
concept, and it entailed a multi-week, cross province concept that included hundreds of banner-waving individuals on bridges, at intersections and atop buildings. Additionally,
roving vehicles moved from location to location with a variety of projection
devices (i.e.: lasers, pani projectors) creating immense visual "instant
billboards" onto the sides of buildings. Several teams even used large
helium filled balloons suspended over prominent landmarks. Production
management included the kick-off media event at BC Tel headquarters where a
team of mountain climbing experts rappelled down the side of the building
unfurling 14-Cent banners during their descent.
