As the largest dealer of Caterpillar products in Western Canada, Finning was looking for a means to introduce service and support messages to an audience primarily interested with inspecting the machinery. The Motion Activated Video Display (MAVD) was designed for Finning; activated by the presence of an individual entering the product, their movements trigger the MAVD into action. Product, service or after-market support messages are delivered via MPEG encoded video onto a flat screen display located in the cab of the machine.
